Melicuccà and Tropea

During the summer of 2022, I was lucky enough to travel to my favorite place: Southern Italy. My grandparents were raised in Italy before immigrating to the United States. We visited the town they grew up in, and other breathtaking spots nearby.

I met kids of the people my dad use to hang out with when he used to visit. They were in shock when I told them I was American.

Their very first question was if prom was a real thing.
